HeardCheck ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Your name, email address, and phone number (optional)
- Your restaurant name and join code
- Your role (owner, manager, cook, etc.)
- Clock in/out timestamps
- Inventory counts, prep lists, orders, and messages you create
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the HeardCheck service
- To send email verification codes during account creation
- To authenticate your identity when you log in
- To display relevant data to your restaurant team
We do NOT sell, share, or rent your personal information to third parties.
Data Storage
Your data is stored on secure servers in the United States. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
Data Sharing
Your data is only visible to members of your restaurant. Managers can see all restaurant data. Employees can see their own shifts, prep lists, and messages. We do not share data between restaurants.
Your Rights
- You can request a copy of your data at any time
- You can delete your account from within the app
- You can request complete data deletion by emailing us
Children's Privacy
HeardCheck is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
